One of the experiences that I learned the most from art school was critiques. A critique or a "crit", as the cool kids call it, is when everyone in the class takes it in turns to share their work and explain their process. Then their classmates and their tutor give them feedback on their work. We will discuss sharing and receiving feedback later on in the course, but I wanted to give us the opportunity to share our assignments with our course mates early on.
The best place to share your work is on the Penpot community. You can find it at community.penpot.app. There, if we scroll down, you'll find an education category, and I will create a new post for every new assignment.
Now, you can view the posts and any replies without an account, but if you want to share your own work, you'll need to create a free account.
If I select this one here, and you can see, you can share a screenshot of your work or even the whole Penpot file. Of course, if you want to share your work somewhere else, like on your personal website or your social media, please go ahead! And we'll talk more about portfolios later in the course.
If you're feeling shy, you don't have to share. We can all feel a little bit nervous about presenting our work, particularly to people that we don't know. I still have that same feeling, to be honest. Just know that I would really like to see your work and what you've dreamed up of with that creative brain of yours.
