You can install plugins to extend Penpot's functionality. Access the plugins panel from the plugins tool in the toolbar. Here you can add a plugin from a URL or follow this link to discover more plugins from the Penpot hub. There are loads of free plugins in the Penpot hub, and you can narrow down for the plugins you want from the categories or using search.
You can install each plugin directly from the install button or first view more information about each plugin on its page. On the page, you have the option to install the plugin right away or copy its URL. Let's install my accessible design checklist plugin.
When you install a plugin, Penpot will let you know which permissions the plugin requires. This checklist plugin needs access to your files. I trust this plugin because I made it. I'll allow permissions so I can continue. Next, I have the options to try the plugin in a new file or select not now so I can return to my existing files. Not now.
If I return to the file, I can open up the plugins panel and there's the accessible design checklist plugin in my installed plugins list.
Each plugin operates in its own panel, which I can open from the plugins list, and now I can use this plugin to review the accessibility of my design.
