 So here's a favorite topic of mine: design as a communication tool. While a lot of design involves design documents like mockups and wireframes, these are just a part of the work. A huge part of design as a job is facilitating and interpreting requirements, gathering and understanding feedback, presenting your work, and ensuring your team understands your design intentions.
Design is a communication tool and a designer's job is to use the best design process and documents to make that communication successful.
