Here are the course objectives. In this course, I'll cover design fundamentals, including design tool concepts and organization, text and typography, and using color and images. We'll also work through the more intermediate topics of layout, responsive designs, space, and alignments. We'll even discuss more advanced concepts such as design patterns and systems, creating templates in libraries and prototyping.
Finally, we'll focus on the all important communication and collaboration, which make up 50% design as a job. I'll show you how to share and present your work, and we'll look at improving our designer developer relationships and ensuring our projects run smoothly. Each unit is made up of theory videos where I'll cover tools and concepts, hands-on demos where I'll show you how to create something from start to finish, and optional assignments where I'll set you an achievable task you can complete. This can help you put the theory into practice for yourself. If you complete the assignments, you'll have an excellent starter for your design portfolio.
I'll also have plenty of top tips I'll sprinkle throughout the course. These will help you understand tricky topics in a format you can easily return to later.
